      Description

Previously, the MimeMessage was copied by the MailReceiver; recent changes in 2.2 mean that attachments are no longer fetched and accessing them downstream causes IO errors.

So what needs to be done to retrieve attachments by a Transformer (e.g. intermediate samples: mail-attachments). Setting should-delete-messages to false does not solve the problem. Do I have to create a transaction-synchronization-factory?

It now works as before. Once you get a MimieMessage as a payload you use JavaMail API to get its attachement.

Ok, thanks Oleg. It is working now. I had to change the repository URL in the samples pom.xml to http://maven.springframework.org/snapshot and change the spring integration version to 2.2.0.BUILD-SNAPSHOT.
