I believe this same bug is preventing me from installing the CloudFoundry plugin. The other day only the 7 plugins listed above where showing in "addon list", now there are 17 plugins listed but cloudfoundry is not one of them.

I am having the same error. I also get the error "No add-ons known. Are you online? Try the 'download status' command" when I try to run addon search (my download status if fine).

          I have the same error:
          addon search --requiresDescription "#jdbcdriver,driverclass:com.mysql.jdbc.Driver"

Has happened before on other versions. Once was a proxy issue. But this time it is definitely the 1.2.2 version of roo t blame.

If you need the mysql wrapper there is an easy workaround. Type this in to your roo shell

osgi obr url add --url http://spring-roo-repository.springsource.org/repository.xml
          osgi obr deploy --bundleSymbolicName org.springframework.roo.wrapping.mysql-connector-java

for further background check out my blog entry: http://lalyos.github.com/blog/2012/09/24/spring-roobot-workaround/
