      Description

      As a user, I'd like a view-controller command to generate mvc:view-controller elements that select views for rendering.

      Proposed syntax:

      view-controller --path {path} --viewName {name}

      viewName is required.
      path is optional.

      When run, a mvc:view-controller element should be added to /META-INF/spring/$

      {dispatcherServlet-name}

      /controllers.xml. The view template should be added to /WEB-INF/views/$

      {viewName}

      .$

      {extension}

      e.g. /WEB-INF/views/home.jsp.

      Example:

      view-controller -path / --viewName home
      Managed /META-INF/spring/petcare/controllers.xml
      Created /WEB-INF/views/home.jsp

          As of commit 302698b4fde49ee704494f7dc135fa7a5b579f6d this functionality is available and has been integrated with the new 'web mvc' command:

          roo> web mvc install view --path /foo/blah --viewName index --title Test

          Show
