      Description

      As a developer building an application that interacts with Facebook, I want to be able post messages with attachments to a wall. There is "picture" and "source" fields support on Facebook side. Graph API is kind of limited in this section but AFAIK using picture and source fields user can post SWF object with preview thumbnail.
      If this won't be treated as good idea then probably it's possibe to add an adapter for Legacy REST API that has appropriate 'publish.stream' method.

        Spent some time working on this, only to discover that it doesn't seem to work anymore. I know I've posted SWF, MP3, and photos to /

        {profile}/feed with the "source" parameter before and it had worked. But trying it today it doesn't seem to work at all. Same for the "picture" parameter. A quick Google check and I discovered that sometime around March/April of 2011, several other people discovered the same thing...code that had worked was no longer working.

        Also note that the documentation for Post (https://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/post/) says that both "source" and "picture" should be a String containing the URL. (Although, I know that I've done this before by setting the "source" parameter to a Resource object.)

        It would seem that uploading to a wall via the "source" parameter is no longer supported via the /{profile}

        /feed endpoint. I was able, however, to upload a photo (along with a "message") and have it appear directly on the wall via the /

        {profile}

        /photos endpoint. You can get to this via MediaOperations.postPhoto(Resource,String). This doesn't answer how one might upload a SWF or other non-image to their wall, however.
