      Description

With the introduction of the new timeline on Facebook, a page can now also post something called 'Milestone', which is a special type of status update.

http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/api/page/ (scroll down a lot to find the milestone)
      http://developers.facebook.com/docs/reference/fql/life_event/

You can add a milestone by issuing an HTTP POST request to PAGE_ID/milestones with a Page Access Token and the following parameters:
title - The title of the milestone
description - The description of the milestone
start_time - The start time of the milestone. A Page's milestones have the same start and end time.

Strangely on Facebook, a milestone has more properties that are not being mentioned in the Graph API documentation (see attached screenshot).
