      Description

      Overview

Arquillian is a pretty new but powerful framework for running test cases (i.e., JUnit and TestNG) inside a container. Arquillian currently supports Tomcat 6 (embedded mode), Jetty 6.1 and 7 (embedded mode), JBoss 5 and 6 (remote and embedded), Glassfish 3 (remote and embedded).

I'd appreciate being able to test Spring web apps with an embedded Tomcat so that the same LTW mechanism would be used for both the test environment and the production environment.

You may be interested in fallowing extension that I made for Arquillian: https://github.com/jmnarloch/arquillian-container-spring. Currently it's under development, but in not so far future it's going to become official Arquillian project (see: https://community.jboss.org/thread/197356?start=0&tstart=0).

The Arquillian team is actively developing support for Spring directly within the Arquillian project (see links the Further Resources section in this issue's description).

I am therefore closing this issue as Won't Fix.
