Update @RequestMapping Javadoc with regards to ambiguous annotation mappings

    Details

    • Type: Task Task
    • Status: Closed
    • Priority: Minor Minor
    • Resolution: Complete
    • Affects Version/s: 3.1 GA
    • Fix Version/s: 3.1.1
    • Component/s: Web
    • Labels:
      None

      Description

The Javadoc for @RequestMapping#value talks about method names taken into account for narrowing if no path is specified explicitly in case of ambiguous annotation mappings. And also discusses a default method (without explicit path mapping).

Those are not supported in the new RequestMappingHandlerMapping/RequestMappingHandlerAdapter pair and the above Javadoc needs an update.
