When Spring Roo starts, user are able to interact with shell using commands only.

When some action happens (like some file deleted by developer, folder moved by developer, etc...) Spring Roo starts to work automatically...

Would be great if exists some API on Spring Roo Shell that add-ons can invoke to ask questions to developers. Depending of that answers, execution will continue in different ways.

This would be useful to ask developer if he want to apply some critical changes before apply, if he want to use some specific name for a new generated file, etc...

We have been speaking about this new functionality when we advert that we have our new feature Spring ROO Estern Grey UI (ROO-3629).

Spring ROO Estern Grey UI makes REST petitions to Spring Roo Shell to execute operations from an Angular JS application. The problem of *askAQuestion* implementation is that stops all processes waiting for the user input... so this will not work with our REST service...

We're going to analyze the problem to try to give a better solution that works with Spring Roo Shell and with Spring Roo Estern Grey UI.
